Tux Paint für Windows ist als ausführbares Installationsprogramm (.exe) erhältlich, das den Installationsprozess einleitet, sobald Sie es doppelt anklicken.

Tux Paint für Windows besteht aus zwei Teilen, dem Hauptprogramm und der Stempelsammlung als optionale Erweiterung.

(Falls Sie auf eine feste Installation verzichten wollen, können Sie stattdessen die Tux-Paint-ZIP-Datei verwenden, welche sich direkt aus dem Ordner heraus aufrufen lässt. Diese Art von Software ist auch als sog. »portable« Software bekannt.)
