Tux Paint 'tri-fold' booklets Bill Kendrick bill@newbreedsoftware.com http://www.tuxpaint.org/ 2003.08.28 - 2006.09.11 What Is This? ------------- This directory currently contains two versions of the same booklet: * One is in English (the original, composed by Bill Kendrick, July 2003). * The other is in Spanish ("-es" in the filenames). Translations were made using Google.com's Language Tools and AltaVista.com's Babelfish translators, and then cleaned up and proofread by Gabriel Gazzan , August 2003. The Files: ---------- There are three versions of each documet in this directory: .sxw - The original document, composed using OpenOffice.org 1.0.3 under Linux .pdf - PDF conversion of PostScript output from OOo. Created using "ps2pdf" People interested in editing the document would want the original OpenOffice.org document. Those just wanting to print it should grab the PDF file. Printing: --------- The documents are meant to be printed double-sided, and the folded into thirds. (A US Letter (8.5" x 11") sheet will fold down to (3.67" x 8.5")) They should come out fine with printers capable of printing up to 0.5" from the margins. (Some graphics extend outside this margin, but it's alright if it gets clipped.) How to fold: ------------ Looking at the back of the sheet ("page 2", with the "NewBreedSoftware" URL at the bottom), first fold the right third in. Facing you now, and covering half of the sheet that's left, should be the screenshots column. Finally, fold the left third in. All you should see now is the 'front cover' column, with the very large Tux penguin at the bottom. (The front will be the Tux penguin. The back should be the 'Reviews' quotes and "... trademark of ..." listing.) Enjoy! -bill!
