Nokia 770 Packages
Owners of the Nokia 770 ("Maemo") handheld Internet Tablet can download a prelimenary version of Tux Paint as a ".deb" package file. (The rubber stamps collection and Tux Paint Config. are not currently available.)
There are two versions available. A more complete version, which is only compatible with Nokia 770s running the original "OS2005" software, and a newer version that works with "OS2006", but is not completely 'hildonized.' If you'd like help create a more complete version of Tux Paint built for "OS2006", please contact Bill Kendrick.
Note: You will need the SDL_image and SDL_ttf library packages, as well.
Note: The current version (0.9.15b from 2006.02.05) includes code that requires floating point math (the 'Grass' and 'Blur' magic tools, for example). Since the Nokia 770 does not have an FPU, these tools are currently extremely slow. We plan to improve Tux Paint's compatibility with FPU-less systems (such as the 770) in future releases.
